Sheffield, Yellow Arch Studios

Yellow Arch Studios started life as an Edwardian Nuts & Bolts factory for the bridge & shipping industry at the turn of the century. After being rediscovered in 1996 in disarray and ruin, the Yellow Arch team got their ladders and paint brushes out and set about designing and refurbishing the building, opening its doors as Yellow Arch Studios on October 7th 1997. Our 21st birthday celebrations begin this autumn and to welcome Yellow Arch into adulthood we are hosting everything from gigs, open mics and raves to private functions and free parties.

Most famously known as the birthplace of the Arctic Monkeys, the studio has produced albums by a diverse number of artists including Richard Hawley, Kylie Minogue, Jarvis Cocker and Duane Eddy. On 7th February 2015 we opened our doors as a full time licenced venue, and we haven’t looked back since. We’ve played host to the best sound systems, artists, collectives and outfits Sheffield has to offer and serve as a platform for music, art and culture from all corners of the world to thrive off. Our venue, café bar, courtyard and warehouse are continuously evolving and transforming as we welcome an unlimited variation of ideas and events through our doors. So come on down, see it in the flesh and get on your dancing shoes you sexy little swines.
