Halifax, Square Chapel Arts Centre

Square Chapel is a thriving venue in Halifax (West Yorkshire), that presents a vibrant mix of shows, events and workshops.

Now in its 30th year, Square Chapel welcomes over 100,000 people annually. The venue is a Grade II* listed building in the centre of Halifax that was saved and restored by six friends and the Square Chapel Trust.
This recently built extension joint on to the existing chapel, houses a new studio/cinema, a main bar and café in the main foyer and a terrace. It has modernised the current building and greatly improved the experience for everyone who uses the building and created a stunning, modern extension linking us directly to the Piece Hall.

Square Chapel has always hosted classical, world and folk gigs, but with the developments and changes to the building, we can now accommodate more of the new music we want to bring to Halifax. Recently including artists such as Julie Byrne, Graeme Park and This is the Kit.
