Birmingham, The Hare & Hounds

Hare & Hounds is a multi-award winning live music venue, club and pub situated in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Consistently welcoming world class musicians and DJs over two venues in a Victorian Grade II listed building, Hare & Hounds is a centrepiece of the city’s vibrant music and creative community.

Although playing host to local Birmingham legends UB40’s first ever gig in 1979, it is only in the past 11 years that it’s really established itself as one of the most important and influential music venues in the country, playing a vital part in nurturing the city’s vibrant music and creative community. In recent times, the likes of Ed Sheeran, Alt-J, Basement Jaxx, Gregory Porter, Bonobo, Goldie, Floating Points and many more have performed at the venue.

The incredible variety of respected musicians and DJs that perform at Hare & Hounds week in week out makes it stand apart from other venues, as it consistently welcomes some of the biggest artists of their respective genres, as well as some of the most hotly tipped newcomers on the circuit.

The venues are both located upstairs. Our staff are more than happy to assist those in wheelchairs up the stairs, and are more than happy to help in any other way that they can.
